This tour will introduce you to the current and ancient capital of Georgia. And, we will begin our acquaintance with Tbilisi, where we will visit the Old part of the city. We will walk through the square of Europe and Meydan Square. Then, we go up the cable car (you can climb or go down be the walk) to the mountain where are located the Narikala fortress, the old towers and the main fortress of the city. From the height of the fortress opens a very beautiful view of the city. After, we will walk along one of the oldest streets of Tbilisi – Leselidze, where we will feel the true color of the old city. Also, we will pass along Shavteli Street in the Old Town, where is located the small Puppet Theater and visit the ancient temple of Tbilisi, Anchiskhati – the 6th century basilica and the 12th-century Sioni Cathedral, which contains the St. Nino Cross. After exploring Tbilisi, we will pass to the ancient capital of Georgia – Mtskheta. In Mtskheta, we will visit the Svetitskhoveli Cathedral (11th c.), Which belongs to the UNESCO cultural heritage site and which houses one of the main relics of the Orthodox world – the robe of the Lord Jesus Christ. After that we will walk along the paved quiet and cozy streets of the ancient capital. Next, we will rise to the Jvari monastery, from the height of which we will have an unforgettable panorama, and where you can enjoy the famous views, the confluence of the two rivers Aragvi and Mtkvari.
