Bakuriani (Georgian: ბაკურიანი) is a favorite summer and winter resort for children and adults, the beauty of the Borjomi sensor is located on the northern slope of the Trialeti Range on the banks of the Bakurianistskali river at an altitude of about 1700 meters above sea level, it is 30 kilometers from Botjomi and 180 kilometers from the capital of Tbilisi.

Bakuriani is known for days with long sunlight, for 2052 hours a year and long snowy winters from December to March. Winters are cold, snow falls long enough, and summers are long. The average temperature in January is 7, and in August + 15 degrees Celsius. The average snow cover is 64 cm.
The crystal clear air of high mountains, mainly coniferous (mainly spruce) forests, filled with the spirits of beech trees, Kohtagor, Kohtagor II and views of the mountains of Tskhratskaro attract the attention of visitors at any time of the year.

It is not surprising that Bakuriani is one of the most famous mountain resorts among Georgian international ski resorts. Its climate and terrain are ideal for the development of a variety of winter sports. The first skiers were recorded here in 1932.
In winter, families with children and lovers of skiing love to relax here. Cable cars can be found in several places: on Mount Kokhtagora (1.3 km), Kohtagore II, Mount Sahvelo (3.8 km), under 90 and 25 m ski jumps and places for sledding in the park. Kohtagora, along with other ski runs, is one of the best challenging ski runs for professional skiers.

Bakuriani is a mountain-climatic resort with the main medical factors: mountain air, prolonged sunshine, high activity of ultraviolet rays. Here you can recover from lymphadenitis, chronic non-tuberculous diseases of the respiratory tract and anemia. You can visit the Alpine Botanical Garden, a branch of the Tbilisi Botanical Institute (founded in 1919) with the best collection of alpine flora in Europe.
